
Jerusalem District Police and Border Guard soldiers arrested a suspect, a resident of the capital, on suspicion of setting fire to a motorcycle belonging to a security company on the light rail route, during a violent disturbance on Bar Ilan Street in Jerusalem.
The arrest came after the suspect was identified and intensive investigative activity was conducted after the arson.
The suspect was brought before the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court this morning (Wednesday), which granted the police request and ordered his detention extended until June 15th.
The arrest of the arson suspect joins a series of arrests of rioters in recent days.
The police say: "A message to criminals who think they can hide in a crowd and commit criminal offenses.
""The police are constantly investigating, analyzing and identifying the criminals, whom we will arrest at a moment and place where they least expect, with the aim of bringing them to justice.".
