During an operational activity by Central Border Guard soldiers in the Lod city sector, the soldiers noticed a vehicle that aroused their suspicion.
A check of the police systems revealed that the vehicle was not authorized to drive on the road.
As a result, the fighters stopped the vehicle for inspection.
During the inspection, the driver claimed that he had arrived in the area after "visiting the graves of the righteous in the north.".
However, during a thorough inspection carried out by Border Guard soldiers together with police officers, 10 illegal residents were located inside the vehicle - who were removed and hid in the trunk.
The suspect, 39 years old from Kiryat Gat, was arrested and transferred for further investigation to the Lod police station.
The illegal residents and the seized vehicle were also transferred to the police for further processing and investigation.
