
Bnei Brak police arrested a suspect who caused property damage in several incidents in the city of Bnei Brak, including breaking parking barriers, removing a camera, smashing glass windows of a bank branch, setting three vehicles on fire, vandalizing facilities in a public garden, and a palm tree.
His detention was extended from time to time.
The arrest was made after investigators at the Bnei Brak police station conducted an accelerated investigation in recent weeks against a 35-year-old Bnei Brak resident, on suspicion of his involvement in several incidents in which he intentionally caused extensive damage to property.
According to the investigation material, during the month of May, the suspect was involved in several incidents in the city of Bnei Brak. In the first incident, he caused damage to a security camera and a parking barrier on Mitzpeh Kadesh Street. Later, he caused damage to another parking barrier of a supermarket on Kishon Street.
Police officers who arrived at the scene detained the suspect for questioning.
Later that week, he allegedly set fire to facilities in a public garden and a palm tree in Bnei Brak. Two days later, he set fire to a trash can in Ramat Gan, and later set fire to three parked vehicles in Bnei Brak.
In addition, he smashed the glass windows of a bank branch on Hazon Ish Street in the city.
Upon completion of the investigation, a prosecutor's statement was filed against the suspect.
The court extended his detention by five days, and the prosecution intends to file an indictment against him in the coming days.
