After three years: Director General of the Prime Minister's Office resigns

אחרי שלוש שנים בתפקיד: מנכ"ל משרד ראש הממשלה, הראל לוקר, הודיע היום (רביעי) לראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו, כי ברצונו לסיים את תפקידו כמנכ"ל המשרד. וזאת בתום 3 שנים לכהונתו. טרם מונה לו מחליף. לוקר, שהגיע למשרד מהמגזר העסקי, החל את עבודתו כמנכ"ל משרד ראש הממשלה בשנת 2011. במסגרת תפקידו ניהל את עבודת המטה של הממשלה בנושאים הכלכליים-חברתיים ופעל בנושאים אלה כאיש הביצוע של ראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו מול שרי ומשרדי הממשלה, ראשי רשויות, משקיעים זרים והמגזר העסקי. עזיבתו של לוקר מצטרפת לזו של ראש הלשכה, אייל חיימובסקי, שהודיע על סיום תפקידו בתחילת ספטמבר. בתחילת החודש הבא צפוי להיכנס לתפקיד ראש הלשכה דוד שרן, ששימש בעבר ראש המטה של שר האוצר לשעבר, יובל שטייניץ. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: "I thank Harel for his hard and commendable work in one of the most complex roles in the public service. For three years and under two governments under my leadership, Harel has exceptionally advanced many critical issues for the State of Israel, and he has done so out of a sense of mission, with professionalism, modesty, and great success.". Director General of the Prime Minister's Office Harel Loker said: "This was an intense and fascinating period and I had the great privilege of assisting the Prime Minister at key junctures in the management of the country. I thank the Prime Minister for choosing me for one of the key positions in the public service in the State of Israel and for giving me the trust and backing to advance important issues over the years.".
