MK Moshe Solomon of the Religious Zionist Party attacked today (Wednesday), during a discussion in the Finance Committee, the 'dormitory law' of Deputy Minister of Communications Israel Eichler - claiming: "We are creating parasitism.".
Solomon said: "I think the law also encourages something else, I think that in a situation where we remove a man's obligation to work, we create some kind of parasitism. Not only in the Haredi sector, I also assume that most people who don't work will study Torah, I want to assume that.
""But regardless of the Haredi world, once we allow as a general statement that a man does not work, it is not a condition for subsidizing dormitories - we are harming the entire economy, other publics, other audiences, we are harming the economy, also the ability of people, an incentive to go to work - and creating a situation in which we are not raising poor families. We are raising families that have financial capacity, families that know how to educate future generations in a better way, and therefore I think that this law, in this constellation, in this wording - in my opinion it is very bad, it is not good.".

'The 'Daycare Law' is intended to repeal the sanctions imposed by the High Court of Justice on families in which the father is required to enlist, and enshrines the right of the working mother to receive a discount at a daycare center - regardless of the actions of her husband, who sits and studies Torah.
The sanctions imposed on the families of the children harm young children.
