Three 'Jerusalem Faction' protesters, residents of Modi'in Illit in their 20s, who were arrested yesterday (Monday) in a protest in front of the home of the commander of the Traffic Division, Chief Chaim Shmueli, in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood in Jerusalem - were released on deportation conditions.
Due to allegations of violence by police officers, as well as bruises and burns found on their bodies, the judge ordered the MHA to investigate their claims.
According to a report by journalist Liran Tamari, the police correspondent for the Ynet website, a police officer was filmed yesterday spraying personal pepper spray at 'Hapeleg' protesters who were protesting at the entrance to the home of the traffic division commander.
Tamari noted that according to police procedures, pepper spray is intended for restraining people in detention status - "but still, it's a police chief's house," he wrote sarcastically. "They didn't want to screw up.".
A magistrate's court, as mentioned, ordered the Police Investigations Department to open an investigation.
A senior official in the Jerusalem district admitted to Tamari: "A problematic incident.".
Tamari, a journalist who often defends the rights of ultra-Orthodox protesters, wrote: "If this had happened at another demonstration, it is doubtful whether this event would have passed peacefully.".
If this had happened at another demonstration, it is doubtful that this event would have passed off peacefully.

Hundreds of protesters arrived in front of the home of the head of the Israel Police Traffic Division - and rioted there.
The protesters explained that the officer's house became a target because his wing stops drivers - and if they appear to be deserters, they are handed over to the military police.
Police officers who arrived at the scene tried to keep the protesters away and used stun grenades. A police officer was moderately injured by a stun grenade in his hand. About 20 other protesters were slightly injured.
