The last obstacle to repealing the disengagement law in Northern Samaria has been removed: The General of the Central Command signed a cancellation of the order prohibiting residence in northern Samaria, which prevented Israeli citizens from entering and residing in areas that were evacuated as part of the disengagement plan.
The order constituted the final obstacle to returning to northern Samaria.
Its cancellation now constitutes the final nail in the coffin of the disengagement and the process of restoring Jewish life to Northern Samaria, following the cancellation of the disengagement law in Northern Samaria and the decision of the cabinet led by Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Minister of Defense Israel Katz to re-establish the settlements in Northern Samaria in addition to establishing 14 additional settlements in this area.

The head of the Samaria Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, one of the leaders of the struggle to cancel the disengagement and an exile from the settlement of Sha-Nur, welcomed the decision and said:
""This is a historic day. The final burial of the disengagement. After years of public, settlement and political struggle, we are closing another painful chapter and correcting a historical injustice done to the State of Israel, to the settlements and to the entire Israeli people.".
""The disengagement brought neither peace nor security. It brought terror, pain, and severe harm to the Land of Israel and to national resilience. Today we continue on the path of correction. On the way to the "connection plan" that will bring 20 times more Israeli citizens to northern Samaria. The people of Israel understand the mistake and are correcting it step by step.
""Our mission is clear: to build, develop and make northern Samaria flourish again. Not just return to what it was, but grow far beyond that. With God's help, there will be twenty times more Jews here, thriving communities, agriculture, industry, tourism and life. This is the real victory.".
""Now they are fixing it. The disengagement is dead. The people of Israel are alive!""
