Despite previous warnings, the Yad L'Achim organization has identified a disturbing phenomenon: Mission activists are reaching out to the ultra-Orthodox and uploading documentation to social media - a phenomenon that has been expanding recently.
According to the organization, this is a deliberate and planned activity aimed at creating a sense of legitimacy and influence among the ultra-Orthodox public, using edited videos distributed on social media.
Yad Laachim says that in some cases, these are Haredim who engage in seemingly innocent conversations on the street or in public spaces, without initially realizing that they are missionary activists. The filmed clips are then distributed online - creating the misleading impression that there is openness or interest in Christian messages on the part of the Haredi public.
The organization emphasizes that even when the interlocutors express clear opposition and even confront the missionaries, the videos are presented in a biased manner that serves the goals of preaching.
Yad L'Achim calls on the public to exercise increased vigilance and avoid entering into conversations with unknown parties who wish to discuss faith and religion while being documented.
""This is a method designed to generate media and propaganda resonance," Yad La'Ahimah says. "It is important to understand that any filmed conversation could become a tool in the hands of missionary elements who are trying to present a distorted reality and harm the spiritual resilience of the Jewish public.".
