Cantor Shalom Jacobs of the Chabad House on the Jersey Shore has drawn Cantor Avraham ("Avi") Albrecht, a familiar face in the 'Beit Tefila' congregation in Pikesville for over 26 years, to the ulpan. Before that, he served as a cantor in Manhattan. He is a world-renowned cantor who has studied with some of the greatest of his generation in the field.

Although he officially retired about four years ago, the two met in the recording studio especially for this special production.

With Shavuot right behind us, we must always remember that the only reason for our existence and the existence of the world is the Torah. "Etz Chaim is" – the Torah is likened to the Tree of Life. There is no better time than to release a special musical journey by "Etz Chaim", featuring four new and old songs that have become an integral part of our Shabbats, week after week, woven together with fresh arrangements, harmonious voices and timeless melodies.
