Yaakov Shweky opens the summer with a surprising new EP album in English called Happiness.
The album includes four original songs that combine bouncy summer energy with deep messages of gratitude to God, Jewish pride, and joy.
The musical production is by Yaakov Shweki and Itzi Waldner, who brought to the project an innovative and up-to-date sound on the one hand, and on the other, an exciting and meaningful one.
The album opens with the track “Thank You,” a personal reminder to pay attention to the small everyday details for which we should be grateful. From there, we continue with “I Am a Jew,” a moving anthem about Jewish identity, a song that speaks of generations of dedication and uncompromising Jewish pride.
The theme song, “Happiness,” draws inspiration from the famous encouragement of the Abarbanel to the exiles from Spain in 1942 that even in the darkest moments, a Jew never abandons joy.
The project closes with the song “Soulful,” which speaks of the enormous power of music to evoke emotion, to elevate the soul and the person to higher places.
Musically, the EP ranges from contemporary pop, emotional ballads, and catchy anthems - creating a musical experience that is both rhythmic, innovative, and timeless.
