National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir sharply attacked Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar in the Knesset plenary today (Wednesday), who sharply criticized Ben-Gvir's conduct - during a tour of the detention facility for detainees from the Turkish flotilla to Gaza - and published documents that sparked diplomatic tensions.

Ben Gvir began his heated speech: "Mr. Chairman, I would like to dedicate a few words to the event that took place this morning. The arrival of hundreds of supporters of terror, arch-terrorists, to the territorial waters of the Land of Israel. As they define it: the siege of Gaza and to bring aid that ultimately is aid to the Hamas organization. Although the truth is, Mr. Chairman, they came without any aid and without anything. But only with one statement against the State of Israel, in favor of destroying the state and harming our soldiers.

""I want to dedicate these things, not to those arch-terrorists, but to the Foreign Minister of the State of Israel, Gideon Sa'ar - who was stressed, simply stressed. And he started preaching to me about the damage that was done, that in fact our fighters, our policemen, our soldiers, our prison fighters took over those terrorists. The Foreign Minister preached about the damage, but the truth is the opposite: the one who is doing damage to the State of Israel is Gideon Sa'ar. His bowing his head to the terrorists is a disgrace. The days when our country became a child of the breadwinners are over, the days when terrorists who want to harm us will come are over, and we need to be apologetic and nice and inclusive. I thought Gideon Sa'ar learned something from 10/7. For the Foreign Minister of the State of Israel to apologize is sending a message of weakness, of submission, a message of surrender. A message that we don't believe in ourselves.".

Ben Gvir continued to whip the storm: "Is he worried about the pictures? I am worried about the security of the residents of the State of Israel and I worry about them. We will not allow these terrorists to enter and harm our heroic fighters. What a wonderful job they are doing. Not a hair on their head will fall. He is looking for international sympathy, we are looking for deterrence. Anyone who thinks that submission and surrender, apology and weakness will lead us somewhere is hugely mistaken.

""And I say here, fellow Knesset members - a country that does not know how to set borders, a country that does not know how to enforce, a country that does not govern, invites its enemies to its doorstep. Loses its deterrence and ends up sacrificing its security on the altar of failed diplomacy.

""And I say to Gideon Sa'ar: The days when we became children of the poor are over. The days when apologies and niceness got us nowhere are over. Everyone is expected to internalize this.".

""We go our way without apology, without bowing our heads, without surrendering to our enemies. Yes, whoever wants to harm our fighters, they will handcuff him, yes, whoever wants to harm our prison fighters, they will shackle him. Gideon must now internalize what he had to internalize on October 7th and not internalize.".

Ben Gvir concluded his remarks by expressing complete support for the police and the Prison Service fighters: "I am proud to be the minister in charge of the organizations that operated today. In the face of those supporters of terror, I am proud to give them support for our fighters, and I will continue to give support, and not a hair on the head of our fighters will fall.".

""And there will be all sorts of images that Gideon Sa'ar doesn't like. We will not endanger our IDF soldiers and fighters. And I will continue to support them. The people of Israel are alive.".
