The fighter Guy Shabtai, husband of Reut Shabtai, fell in southern Lebanon on November 8, 2024.
Guy, 39, was a math and English teacher at Horev High School in Jerusalem. Reut, his 35-year-old wife, was left alone after ten years of marriage, forced to raise their three daughters on her own.
Last week, after a long and tiring day of celebrations for Jerusalem Day, she arrived at an event at the Merkaz HaRav yeshiva, accompanied by her daughters.
Despite the late hour and extreme fatigue, it was important to her to meet the Prime Minister. The reason? For Gefen, her 10-year-old daughter had one huge dream: to meet Benjamin Netanyahu.
How do you make a dream come true? Reut didn't hesitate, she went up the stairs to the Women's Aid, where she turned to Sara Netanyahu. A heartfelt conversation soon developed between the two, and while Sara was caressing the girl, the mother whispered her request...
Sarah was moved, the request touched her heart, and she promised to arrange a meeting with the Prime Minister. To the girl's happiness, of course.
