The Yad L'Achim lottery registration center says that the "interim lottery" is made possible thanks to the support provided by friends of Yad L'Achim in Canada and joins the traditional annual lottery that Yad L'Achim conducts for a luxurious and luxurious Torah scroll.
The names of the winners of the interim draw will be published here immediately after the draw, and a personal message will be delivered immediately to the winners.
As stated, this raffle joins a special raffle that Yad L'Achim holds every year for the Torah scroll, with this year's raffle, for the 16th time in a row, being held this coming Wednesday, Wednesday of Bisyon - May 20.
In years past, as part of the grand prize of a Torah scroll, the winner would also win funding for the cost of street advertisements announcing the introduction of the Torah scroll, funding for the Torah scroll introduction procession, and the mitzvah meal.
The call center reported that due to a huge load on the registration center, the lines have been significantly increased, but it is worth hurrying up and registering, so that you can actually participate in both lotteries.
It was also reported that there have been moving requests in recent days, such as from families whose loved ones were murdered in the massacre in the south of the country or fell in battle, who decided to organize together to increase their chances of winning the book. At the same time, as every year, there have been organizations of synagogues in need of a new Torah scroll of their own, asking their worshippers to register for the lottery, in order to win the book and have it placed in their synagogue.
