Without the public's immediate response to blood donations, there is concern that the required blood supply will be compromised and that surgeries and medical procedures will need to be postponed.
MDA emphasizes that there is no substitute for blood, blood cannot be produced artificially, and it can only come from people who choose to come and donate blood for the sake of others.
