Following the government's decision: An inter-ministerial team headed by the Prime Minister's Office and with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Transportation and Road Safety, the Ministry of Defense, and the Planning Administration, examined the alternatives for mass transit on the Beersheba-Likit route.
Prime Minister Netanyahu decided today (Wednesday) that the mass transit system in the city of Beersheba will be built using light rail technology, after reviewing and updating the team's recommendations and all of the planning, economic, and operational aspects detailed therein.
