While addressing the issue of planning and construction in the city, Mayor Hanoch Seibert clarified the consistent municipal policy regarding residential towers and density.
In his remarks, he emphasized that the municipal administration operates from a clear strategy, which separates business and employment areas from residential areas.
""We have many consultants suggesting ways to break the planning framework, but we know exactly what is right for the city," the mayor declared. "Bnei Brak is the most densely populated city in Israel. Adding residential towers without land reserves for public buildings would be an irresponsible step.".
Seibert detailed the considerations guiding the management: "Massive residential construction requires a complementary response of educational institutions, kindergartens, schools, synagogues and public parks. We must ensure that the city's children have somewhere to hang out and somewhere to go.".
""Therefore, we are continuing with the existing outline that distinguishes between developing high-rise business centers and maintaining the fabric of life in residential neighborhoods, and we will not allow this outline to be breached.".
