The rest bays on the southern section of Highway 6 are designed to allow road users to stop for vehicle operation, refreshment and driver rest, thus strengthening travel safety along the road.

Each rest bay extends for a kilometer, and includes parking for trucks, bus parking, and parking for private vehicles, as well as electric vehicle charging stations.

Later, a convenience store will be built and seating areas will be set up for the benefit of road users.

The bays were built in the road strip to provide drivers with safe and regulated stopping points for refreshment and rest and to strengthen the safety and service system along Highway 6.

At the same time, the opening of five new emergency bays in the southern section was completed, in addition to four bays already opened in the central section.

The emergency bays, which are approximately 350 meters long and up to 10 meters wide, allow for safe emergency stopping of vehicles, including trucks, and strengthen the safety envelope along Highway 6.
