The National Planning and Building Council today approved the plan of the Ministry of Transportation and NTA to establish the Yoseftal Transportation Complex - the first integrated transportation center of its kind on the border of Bat Yam and Holon.
The Tsatham is the first of seven huge centers that will be built along the Ayalon Highway and in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, connecting Israel Railways, the metro lines, the light rail, and the bus terminals under one roof.
Minister Miri Regev, who leads the "Connecting Israel" vision, will soon submit the plan for government approval. The new expressway will connect the Israel Railways "Yoseftel" station, two future metro stations, and the bus network, with the aim of reducing dependence on private vehicles.
The network of bus terminals will in the future also include Glilot, Tel Aviv Center, Hashalom, Hagana, Holon Intersection and Kfar Ganim, and will constitute a real revolution in comfort and efficiency for the traveling public.
Minister Regev said that this is a key step in building an advanced transportation network that will offer a fast and accessible alternative to all citizens of the country. The Director General of the Ministry of Transportation, Moshe Ben Zaken, added that the Yoseftal Complex is the first model for full connectivity that will change the face of transportation in the metropolis and the entire country.
