During the night and morning, the ZAKA center continued its activities on Mount Meron, including a missing persons search center operating up the mountain with the aim of providing a rapid response to any report of missing persons and loss of contact.
During the activity, a father came to the hotline and reported that his son had been missing since last night, in the forests around Meron, and according to him, the son had not contacted him. Following the call, volunteer teams were dispatched to search the area, attempting to locate the missing man and ensure his safety.
After targeted scanning operations, the son, thank God, was found safe and sound.
ZAKA notes that the ZAKA hotline continues to operate on site throughout all operating hours, to assist with anything needed, including loss of contact or concerns about missing persons.
