According to the police, hundreds of police officers, Border Guard soldiers, and traffic police officers are coordinating an operational effort to evacuate hundreds of people who arrived on Mount Meron in violation of instructions.
""The forces are working resolutely to prevent attempts to infiltrate the complex, while preventing the arrival of hundreds of buses and private vehicles that were moving in violation of instructions," the police claim.
During the night and morning hours, hundreds of people arrived in the Meron area, after walking for long hours on roads, forests, and unpaved paths.
Upon arriving at the scene, the citizens encountered police roadblocks and buses that had been waiting in advance and were being transported to locations far from the settlement area.
""The police clarify that given the security situation and Home Front Command guidelines, staying in the mountain area without a permit poses a danger to the public. The operational effort is intended first and foremost to protect the safety of citizens," the police statement said.
