Singer and songwriter Avromy Samet from Manchester has a new hit in English: "I'M A YID" - "I'm a Jew." An exciting music video full of joy and dancing was also filmed for the new single, which conveys the message that a Jew should always be happy for being a Jew.
Samet decided to release the song on Lag BaOmer, in honor of the divine Tanna, Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, combining the words he wrote together with Chaim Gutteng, with a Hasidic melody from the Karlin Hasidic House.
Samet: "Thank you, God, for giving me the right to be a Jew, to love you, and to sing to you.".
