The late Yisrael Komet, a 71-year-old Israeli pilot, was killed after the ultralight plane he was flying crashed shortly after takeoff near the Hatten Airport near Oldenburg, Germany.
The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, just minutes after the plane took off.
The plane was a Shark 600, which lost altitude and crashed in an open area near the runway. The plane was almost completely destroyed, and Comet - who was alone in the flight - was killed on the spot.
