Daniel Werdiger, who managed Shufersal's Yesh Chesed chain and was fired by the new owners a year and a half ago, is embarking on a dramatic expansion move: After opening the first branch in Ashdod of the 100 chain he founded, he is leading the process of acquiring the Shefa Birkat Hashem chain.
According to a report in Maariv, Werdiger has finalized a deal to acquire the "Shefa Birkat Hashem" chain, which operated over 20 branches nationwide, mainly in Haredi concentrations.
According to Maariv, the deal has been approved in principle by the parties and is awaiting final approvals, but its full details have not yet been officially published.
''Shefa Birkat Hashem' was established in 2007 as a chain that reached about 27 branches. In the summer of 2025, Carrefour acquired three branches of the chain - in Afula, Netivot and Talpiot in Jerusalem, in a deal valued at about NIS 20 million. This was an acquisition of specific branches only, while the brand itself remained in the hands of the original owners.
As mentioned, after leaving Yesh Chesed, Werdiger began building a new operation called Reshet 100. The first branch was opened in Ashdod in an area of approximately 5,000 square meters in the place where a Neto Savings branch previously operated.
Behind the network are Werdiger, Rafi Brickman and Haim Rand, who worked with him at Shufersal.
