The Ministry of Transportation announced this afternoon (Thursday) that, following a discussion to assess the situation regarding the Meron festival, it was agreed that the Ministry of Transportation will provide buses and trains for the benefit of those attending the festival - in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Jerusalem and Tradition and the festival's production company.
Tickets for the festivities will be sold through the Jerusalem and Tradition Ministry and the production company.
In light of the Home Front Command's guidelines and the limitation on the number of worshippers on the Mount, the responsibility for crowd management, including the need for evacuation, lies with the office in charge and the event producer.
