Police cleared all traffic routes blocked by faction and fanatic demonstrations in Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh

Jerusalem District police and Border Guard soldiers completed their operational activities this evening to disperse violent riots that took place in several locations in Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh - Route 38.

Thanks to the rapid and determined response of the forces, public order was restored in all sectors.

During the activity, the police encountered violent rioters who blocked vehicle and light rail traffic routes, set fire to Israeli flags, threw stones, and a police officer was even attacked by a suspect who was arrested and taken to the police station for further investigation.

In light of the violence and the risk to the public, the police used force to disperse the rioters and open the blocked roads.
