A step to prepare the ground for flexibility towards Iran? United States President Donald Trump stated today (Tuesday) that Iran has informed the United States that it is "in a state of collapse.".

In a tweet he posted on the social network Truth, the president wrote: "Iran has now informed us that they are in a state of collapse and are asking us to open Hormuz as soon as possible - while they try to understand the situation within their leadership (and I believe they will be able to do so!).

Today, CNN reported, citing several sources, that despite reports of Trump's dissatisfaction with Iran's latest proposal, the gaps between the two sides are not as great as they seem.

According to the sources, intense diplomatic activity is taking place behind the scenes.

The activity is now focused on a gradual process, with the first phase focusing on opening the Strait of Hormuz without restrictions and fees, and the nuclear issue will be discussed at a later stage.
