A new outline for the Meron festival is expected to allow the arrival of tens of thousands of participants, subject to final approval by the Home Front Command.
According to the proposal, the mountain will be divided into three complexes, each of which will allow up to 1,500 people to stay at the same time.
According to the plan, tickets will be sold through an open lottery by the Ministry of Transportation. The festivities themselves will be spread over about 40 hours.
