Liat Schwartz, a Jewish student, filed a lawsuit against the University of Toronto Metropolitan for 1.3 million Canadian dollars, claiming that the academic institution created a "toxic environment" - and ignored repeated cases of anti-Semitism and harassment against Jewish students following the events of October 7.
The lawsuit was filed in March in the Ontario Superior Court by the student - who is seeking $1 million in monetary damages and another $300,000 for general damages.
