Last night, a report was received at the ZAKA 1220 hotline about a 58-year-old man who was missing, with his family expressing concern for his well-being after contact with him was lost. Upon receiving the report, volunteers from the ZAKA Missing Persons Unit began extensive search operations together with the Israel Police.
After hours of searches, the man was located in the evening near the Ra'anana train station, lifeless.
ZAKA volunteers from the Sharon area were called to the scene and worked at the scene, treating the deceased with dignity and collecting the remains.
Haim Otmazgin, commander of the special units at ZAKA, said: "From the moment the report was received, the volunteers of the unit for locating missing persons conducted extensive scans in an attempt to locate the missing person quickly. Unfortunately, this evening the search ended with no life. ZAKA volunteers are treating the deceased with dignity and assisting the family in difficult moments.""
