
Police today (Monday) arrested a 40-year-old female doctor from the north, on suspicion of threatening the life of journalist Muhammad Majdallah from Channel 12, and director of the news division and senior presenter at Radio A-Nas, which broadcasts from Nazareth.
She was arrested at the clinic where she works in the city of Taiba.
The police investigation was opened a few weeks ago, after the doctor allegedly called Majdala from an unknown number and threatened his life on several occasions.
Among other things, she told him in one of the conversations: "I will come to you in a week and eliminate you.".
Majdala told Ynet after the arrest: "I still don't know all the details, but I hope that years of suffering will finally come to an end. I would like to thank the police for the serious and professional treatment, and the cyber expert Ahmed Beto who assisted.".
The police stated that upon receiving the report of the threats, an investigation was opened that included the use of technological means in which evidence was collected.
In the afternoon, in accordance with the findings of the investigation and according to an order signed by the court, police raided her workplace, arrested her, and seized evidence related to the commission of the offenses, which was allegedly disposed of on the spot.
The suspect is expected to be interrogated in the Northern District, and based on the findings of the investigation, a decision will be made whether to bring her before the court tomorrow with a request to extend her detention.
