In the afternoon, a report was received at the ZAKA 1220 hotline about a 57-year-old man who was found in an apartment on Yaffe Nof Street in Ashkelon, in a state of advanced decomposition, long after his death.
ZAKA volunteers from the Lachish area were called to the scene and are working at the scene, treating the deceased with dignity and collecting the remains.
Aharon Mori, Nathan Shahaf and Michael Avisror, ZAKA volunteers from the Lachish region, said: "This is a man who was found in his home long after his death. A neighbor in the building, who smelled a smell coming from the apartment, called the emergency services.

When we arrived at the scene, we were greeted by a pungent odor. We entered the apartment and located a 57-year-old man without life, in an advanced state of decomposition. ZAKA volunteers from the Lachish area are working at the scene with dedication and professionalism to treat the deceased with dignity and collect the findings.""
