Anyone who has walked the streets of Ashdod's 7th District in recent months could not ignore the impressive structure that is gradually being completed. The Ateret Banim synagogue of the Gur Hasidim in the city is not just a structure of stone and marble, but a spiritual center for a living and vibrant community, working diligently to establish a house of Torah and prayer.
As is the case with large-scale projects, it was precisely in the final stages – when construction was almost complete and the entrance to the hall was already visible on the horizon – that a final budget gap of approximately NIS 2 million arose. This is a familiar situation for institution administrators, in which the bulk of the project is behind schedule, but completing the finishing touches and infrastructure requires a precise and rapid financing solution.
After contacting several parties, the synagogue's treasurers turned to Maimondeln, which specializes in formulating customized financing solutions for transactions and institutions in complex situations.
The solution came quickly. Within a short period of time, after a professional examination of the needs of the community and the property, the required funding was provided - a move that allowed the management of Ateret Banim to complete the work and close the final stages of implementation.
Behind the move are the owners of Maimondel, Matityahu Veshel and Eli Rabinowitz, who combine professional financial experience with a deep familiarity with the needs of Torah institutions and the community.
“In supporting institutions and associations, the challenge is not only the funding itself but also adapting to the structure of the community’s activities,” says Matityahu Vegshel. “There are different dynamics here than a regular transaction – sources of income, cash flow, and community conduct. Our role is to build a solution that fits this reality and allows the project to be completed correctly.”
Now, with the financing completed and work progressing at a rapid pace, eyes are on the destination: the upcoming Shavuot holiday.
The community notes that the rapid response made it possible to prevent unnecessary delays, and proved once again that when financial professionalism meets a real need, significant projects can be brought to the finish line at the right time.
