Hamas' internal security apparatus reportedly thwarted an attempt by "collaborators" with Israel to break into the Shuhada al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, in order to kidnap wounded patients hospitalized there and hand them over to Israel.
According to a report by Dalit Halevi on Channel 7, Hamas claims that this was an operation planned under direct orders from Israeli intelligence, which promised assistance from aircraft during the operation.
Hamas' internal security apparatus claims that they arrested a collaborator with Israel who admitted to photographing the wounded rooms in the hospital for Israeli intelligence, and his arrest led to the foiling of the planned operation.
Hamas accuses Israel of attempting to sabotage negotiations on the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in order to return to military action in the Gaza Strip.
