Rabbi Zvi Tau, Rosh Yeshiva of Har HaMor and one of the senior rabbis of Religious Zionism, sharply attacks the High Court of Justice and the trends of integrating women into the IDF and other systems in the country.
In recordings released this evening (Sunday) by Ari Kalman, the I24 Channel's ultra-Orthodox correspondent, Rabbi Tao said: "Just as they don't care that it will harm the IDF, they don't care that it (the inclusion of women) will weaken the IDF and that it harms the IDF's fighting power."
Rabbi Tau was also recorded referring to social trends: "Postmodernism says this, feminism says this, equal rights is this... We need to be the spearhead of the destroyers of the world, because this destroys the whole world.".
Later in the recording, as part of his remarks against the inclusion of women, Rabbi Tao is heard saying: "It is harmful and the mind becomes one game," and later adds: "It causes cancer.".
He added: "They don't see the future, they don't care about the damage to the IDF and its alertness and its fighting power... The same here - they don't care that the Chief Rabbinate will be damaged and its power will decrease.".
The remarks were published against the backdrop of a High Court ruling requiring the Chief Rabbinate to allow women to take the rabbinical ordination exams, and a High Court ruling to integrate women into the Armored Corps.
