One of the most beloved and most associated dishes with Japanese cuisine has become a star in recent years in home kitchens in Israel.

The culinary brand Master Chef, which specializes in high-quality food products from Asian cuisine, offers a kosher, easy, colorful and extremely delicious recipe for making a family sushi roll.

Sushi, which began in Japan and became a global culinary phenomenon, combines fresh ingredients, meticulous aesthetics, and delicate flavors.

Today, it can also be prepared at home relatively easily, using quality raw materials and a little patience.

Salmon and avocado sushi roll recipe:

Ingredients:

• 2 cups sushi rice
• 2.5 cups water
• 4 tablespoons rice vinegar
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 4 sheets of nori seaweed
• 200 grams fresh salmon, cut into strips
• 1 ripe avocado, cut into strips
• Cucumber cut into thin strips
• Soy sauce for serving
• Pickled ginger and wasabi to taste

How to prepare:

  1. Rinse the rice well and cook in water until completely absorbed.
  2. Mix rice vinegar, sugar and salt and add to the cooked rice. Cool.
  3. Place a nori sheet on a rolling mat and moisten your hands slightly.
  4. Sprinkle an even layer of rice over the seaweed, leaving a border at the top.
  5. Place the salmon strips, avocado and cucumber in the center.
  6. Roll using the mat into a tight roll.
  7. Cut into 8 pieces and serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger and wasabi.

A tip from the minds of the culinary brand Master Chef: Wet your hands slightly while working with the rice to prevent sticking and get perfect sushi rolls.
