
As part of an initiative by Border Police South National Guard fighters in the city of Rahat over the weekend, 12 illegal residents were arrested at several different locations in the city.
On Thursday morning, during a high-saliency patrol, the fighters spotted several suspects who began fleeing the scene upon seeing the forces. After a quick response and pursuit, three illegal residents, ages 17, 26, and 31, were arrested.
Later that night, in another operation carried out at a construction site in the city, six illegal residents were located hiding inside a building. The suspects, aged 21, 30, 34, 36, 38 and 53, were arrested and transferred for further treatment.
On Saturday night, during another operation in Rahat, the fighters identified several suspects who were trying to flee the scene. The forces acted quickly, using a police drone from the air, and arrested three illegal residents, ages 14, 41, and 41. In addition, a 23-year-old suspect was detained for questioning after a substance suspected to be cannabis was seized in his possession.
