Israel Railways has published a number of important updates in preparation for Memorial and Independence Days:
Memorial Day April 21, 2026:
- All train lines will operate as normal throughout the day, along with additional trains to allow for more convenient access to ceremonies and sites.
- Bereaved families are entitled to a 50 percent discount, upon presentation of an appropriate certificate.
Independence Day April 22, 2026:

- All train lines will operate with one train per hour.
- The following lines will not operate at all: Karmiel - Beer Sheva; Netanya - Beer Sheva; Herzliya - Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan (series 300 only); Modiin Center - Jerusalem.
- Night trains will operate between Jerusalem and Herzliya on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday (April 21-22).

Independence Day - Information centers and coordination of accessible travel
They will be available to you throughout the day and night by calling *5770 extension 1.
And on WhatsApp between 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
The other centers will be closed.
