After an operational and intelligence investigation by the IDF, it can be confirmed: Yesterday (Saturday), as part of an operation by a UNIFIL force to evacuate civilians in the Ghandouriya area in southern Lebanon, a squad of terrorists from the Hezbollah terrorist organization opened fire on them.
As a result of the shooting, one UNIFIL member was killed and three other UNIFIL members were injured - two of them seriously.
""The terrorist organization Hezbollah continues to exploit the ceasefire to promote terrorist activities, while risking and harming civilians and international organizations in Lebanon," the IDF says.
