Many teams from the Samaria Regional Station are working tonight (Saturday) on a fire that broke out in a five-story residential building in the Haredi city of Emanuel.
Upon arrival at the scene, the crews detected heavy smoke rising from the stairwell as a result of a fire in the carriage room and worked to extinguish the fire, clear the smoke, and search for trapped people.
Rabbi Reshef Ofir Levy, commander of the shift: "Following the heavy smoke rising up the building, I ordered all residents in the building to lock themselves in their apartments until full control is achieved.
""Firefighters carried out extinguishing operations at the fire site, along with extensive searches to remove any trapped people and clear the thick smoke from the building.""
