Last night, a report was received at the police headquarters about a vehicle on fire in Kafr Qassem. Sharon Region police arrived at the scene, sealed off the scene and located a woman's body inside. After assessing the situation and examining the initial findings, suspicion arose that the incident was caused by a violent conflict within the family.
Large forces from Lt. Col. Sharon, Southern Border Guard interveners, and the Qassem Station conducted an extensive manhunt, during which a suspect in the murder, the victim's ex-partner, in his 40s, was arrested early this morning in the Bedouin diaspora in the south. The suspect was transferred to Lt. Col. Sharon for questioning, and based on the findings of the investigation, he will be brought to court for a hearing with a request to extend his detention.
