A sharp statement in Satmar: "As in the Holocaust, we will be saved from the draft decree""

On Passover Eve, the Rebbe said: "Just as during the Holocaust there were great troubles and God saved us, so in our day He will save us from the wicked of Israel who want to expel the ultra-Orthodox Jews from the Holy Land." • In the annual sermon, the Rebbe asked: to strengthen ourselves in the laws of uniqueness, and to avoid the 'disease of the smart device'"

A poignant statement on the night of the Seder at the home of the Satmar Rebbe: In the prayer "And She Stood," the Rebbe combined the Holocaust of World War II with current events in the Land of Israel.

The Rebbe told those present that his father, the Rebbe of the 'Berech Moshe', zt"l, told him that in the extermination camp where he was held, there was a Nazi guard who suffered from a weakness for bitter drops. "He was a great drunkard, and you could always bribe him with a bottle of wine. When he would get drunk, or even if they talked to him about wine, he would get drunk and the Jews would have little rest...""

The Rebbe explained that this is the reason why the glass is raised when reciting "And it stood," as this glass stood for our ancestors to save them from the troubles of the Holocaust, "and we pray that just as there were great troubles then and God saves us, so also in our day when the wicked of Israel want to expel the ultra-Orthodox Jews from the Holy Land with the terrible conscription decree - God will save us from their hands.".

New disease

On the day of Passover, an annual assembly was held, in which the Rebbe addressed his followers. This year, the Rebbe spoke about the 'new disease', explaining that it is not just a spiritual disease: "It is a physical disease - the disease is called a smartphone. Anyone who is seriously ill with a disease needs to be cured. This disease has already caused many problems in home peace and in the education of children, and it enslaves people to a small device.".

The Rebbe added that beyond the spiritual issue, he asks everyone, "not to be among the sick, and working people also do not have to suffer from the disease and can disconnect from the device at home and in the Beit Midrash.".

The Rebbe asked to establish a committee to urge the public in the Beit Midrash, "God forbid, not to take these devices out of the holy place.".

The Rebbe also asked to thoroughly study the laws of Yahud found in workplaces, as well as the laws concerning work between Jews and Gentiles.

tamper On the seventh day of Passover, the Rebbe recalled the words of the Lublin Rebbe on the mishna, "All who sing come out with song" - Moses and Aaron the priest descend on the seventh day of Passover to the synagogues and sing songs together with the Jews. "Tomorrow, then, during the morning prayer, Moses and Aaron the priest will be here in the synagogue, and they will sing songs together with us, and hence the public must make great preparations for this," said the Rebbe.

She is also a mother.

As the holiday drew to a close, the Rebbe was informed that Rabbi Sinai Teitelbaum, the nephew of the Rebbe, the rabbi Shalom Eliezer Teitelbaum, was rushed to NYU Hospital in Manhattan during the holiday, suffering from a brain hemorrhage.

The Rebbe asked to order a taxi and not travel in his regular vehicle, arguing that the cab drivers or the regular driver did not have time due to work at home on the evening of the holiday. When the Rebbe arrived at the hospital, he spent about half an hour at the bedside of his nephew, who was sedated and on a ventilator, ensuring that the best doctors would treat the patient.

The Rebbe asked Rabbi Sinai's wife to return home, explaining that "she is also a mother, and she must be with her children.".
