Continuing the attack on the High Court: The Rishon LeZion, Rabbi David Yosef, also this morning (Sunday), during the Priests' Blessing at the Western Wall, harshly criticized the High Court of Justice judges who decided in the middle of the Sabbath to authorize a left-wing demonstration in Habima Square in Tel Aviv.
The rabbi spoke to the limited audience at the Western Wall, and noted that the public was prevented from attending due to listening to the Home Front Command's instructions - without anyone needing clarification from the High Court.
""My friend, the Western Wall rabbi, Rabbi Rabinowitz, turned to the Home Front Command with the question - whether it is possible to allow more people to participate in the event. Note, he turned to the Home Front Command because they understand security matters, he did not turn to the High Court - because the High Court understands lawlessness. They understand freedom of demonstration.
""They call freedom of demonstration 'pikuach nefesh', nothing less and nothing more. But we turn to professionals who understand pikuach nefesh, the High Court does not understand pikuach nefesh. The Home Front Command understands and we will do what it orders because we know what pikuach nefesh is for every Jew.".
Last night, in his weekly lecture, the Prime Minister harshly criticized the High Court judges.
