The IDF today (Saturday) killed Ali Hassan Shuaib, a reporter for Hezbollah's Al-Manar network, in an attack on a journalist's vehicle in the area of the town of Jazin in southern Lebanon. Al-Mayadeen channel reporter Fatima Fattouni and her brother Muhammad Fattouni, a photojournalist, were killed along with him.
An IDF spokesman confirmed the attack and claimed that Shuaib was A terrorist in the Radua Force's intelligence unitN'' of Hezbollah.

The IDF spokesman added: "The terrorist acted to incite against IDF forces and citizens of the State of Israel while using himself as an intermediary to distribute Hezbollah propaganda materials. Even during Operation 'Roar of the Lion,' he continued his activities and reported on the location of IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon.".

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the attack, saying that the dead were civilians carrying out a professional duty. He said it was a violation of international law. He called on international bodies to stop the attacks in Lebanon.
Shuaib, known as Haj Ali, is considered the "mouth" of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, and during "Iron Swords" he became the direct conduit for information on everything happening on the Lebanese side of the border. He was in the border area with Hezbollah terrorists and residents who chose to stay in their homes.
In 2024, Shuaib posted a threatening video about the chairman of the Margaliot local council, Eitan Davidi, with weapons pointed at his house.
