For three weeks now, we have been living in a reality that could not have been dreamed of even in our wildest dreams. The greatest and most powerful superpower in the world is fighting alongside us with all its military capabilities to systematically destroy the army and weapons that our great enemy has built up over the years.
The power of evil, which has cast its shadow over the entire space, and which has sent octopus tentacles of terror and hatred to almost every corner of the world – is being destroyed and crumbling before our eyes. We all pray and hope that we will soon see the final collapse of the oppressive regime, and the opening of a new page of peace and cooperation between the people of Israel and the Iranian people.
To strike Egypt with their firstborn

It is said in the prophets (Micah 7:15): "In the day that you came out of the land of Egypt, we showed you wonders." A similar phenomenon also occurred on the eve of the redemption from Egypt, when the 'firstborn of Egypt" rose up to fight with their fathers and Pharaoh, demanding the release of the Israelites. This is the meaning of the verse (Psalm 101:10) "To strike the Egyptians with their firstborn, for His mercy endures forever" – God, the Blessed One, struck the Egyptians with their firstborn.
This is the miraculous phenomenon unfolding before our eyes: the 'firstborn of Egypt,' the powerful power among the nations of the world, is fighting the enemies of Israel, to ensure the safety and security of the Jews, and to remove from their heads the plots of their enemies.
This week we entered the month of Nisan, the month of redemption and miracles. Last Shabbat we read in the parshas of the month: 'This new month is to you the beginning of new months, the beginning of the year.' And isn’t the first month the month of Tishrei, in which we celebrated Rosh Hashana?! But it turns out that the Jewish people live within two parallel calendars – one begins in Tishrei and the other in Nissan.
The calendar that begins in Tishrei represents the natural system of life, while the calendar that begins in Nisan represents the miraculous dimension of our lives. At any given moment, we operate on two axes – the natural, human, rational axis; and the supernatural, miraculous, divine axis.
In this point lies the secret of our existence. We appear to be a people like all other peoples, subject to natural forces and global social, demographic and political processes. But at some point it becomes clear again and again that the Jewish people deviate from the rules and escape conventions. When all the experts predict its disappearance and decline, it suddenly flourishes and rises. There is something elusive about it, which does not fit into the accepted rational tools.
In Nissan, we will be redeemed.
This is the miraculous element that exists in the people of Israel, an element symbolized by the month of Nisan, in which the Jewish people were born and formed. The birth of the Jewish people and their departure from slavery to freedom were both miraculous and supernatural, and here the people of Israel are given the power to exist on an axis parallel to the natural one – the miraculous axis.
In the past, the miraculous element was not always visible, but now it shines for all to see. Everyone who is in the midst of the campaign speaks with amazement of the miraculous divine assistance that accompanies the activities of our fighters, granting them unprecedented successes. We are granted visible 'heavenly help,' and this in itself is an astonishing illumination of the divine countenance.
As we stand in the month of redemption, of which it is said, "In Nisan they were redeemed, in Nisan they will be redeemed," let us thank God, the Almighty, for His miracles and wonders, and pray for the true and complete redemption through our righteous Messiah in these very days.
