A left-wing activist published a video, created by artificial intelligence, showing religious women without headscarves - and caused a huge stir online and received criticism from both the right and the left.

The video included the members of the Knesset Limor Son Har Melech, Minister Orit Strok And the minister Idit Silman Who are seen removing their head coverings and "exposing" their hair.

The video reads in English: "Make your voices heard for the freedom of Israeli women." The left-wing activist added: "Head covering = religious coercion.".

According to the leftist activist, this was in response to a video released by Minister Gila Gamliel, in which women were seen removing their hijabs as a message to the Iranian nation.

Member of Knesset Adi Azuz From the Yesh Atid party, she attacked the provocation: "My opinions differ 180 degrees from the three Knesset members in the video, and I write in the clearest possible way that this video is disgusting, disturbing, and has no place. None of them asked for the opinion of any random man about their choice of head covering. So there is no need to express it. And certainly not to undress.".

The Lobby for Haredi and Religious Women The Knesset reacted sharply: "The video published by Naor Narkis, in which he virtually 'strips' elected officials of their head coverings, is a horrific display of misogyny, objectification, humiliation, and contempt for women.

""This is bullying of the lowest kind, first of all towards the Knesset members in the video, but through them also towards religious Jewish women in general, and in fact against women everywhere. We in the lobby condemn it outright.".

Deputy Speaker of the Knesset, MK Limor Son Har Melech, the lobby's chairwoman, responded: "Naor Narkiss' video is a great disgrace, harassment and harm not only to me personally, but to a huge public of women. I am also sorry for Narkiss, whose behavior testifies first and foremost to himself. We do not need approval from anyone, we are happy and proud of our choices. No woman should be humiliated because of her clothing choices.".

The Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir"I strongly condemn the shocking video being circulated online, in which artificial intelligence technology is used to humiliate and demean Knesset members and religious ministers by removing their head coverings.

""This is a serious, shameful and boundless act that borders on sexual harassment in every sense of the word. This is not a 'joke' or 'satire', but a serious violation of women's dignity, faith and identity.".

""The hypocrisy screams to the sky: those elements on the left who are quick to shout 'exclusion' and 'objectification' - have suddenly disappeared when it comes to religious women. Where are you now? Where are all those organizations that speak in the name of women's rights? If they did this to a woman from the Arab sector, you would be furious!!!

""Violence against women is violence against women - regardless of their faith, choice or lifestyle.".

Chairwoman of the 'Emunah - Religious Zionist Women' movement, Yifat Sela, in response to the video: "Religious women in Israel can choose to cover their heads or not. No one should enter into their faith, traditional, religious relationship and give it an interpretation. It is an internal personal choice that must always remain within the realm of free choice.".
