Defense Minister Israel Katz, assessing the situation after the destruction of the Litani Bridge: "This is just the beginning. The Lebanese government and the state of Lebanon will pay an increasing price in the loss of territory and damage to national infrastructure used by Hezbollah terrorists - until the central obligation of disarming Hezbollah is fulfilled.""

Defense Minister Israel Katz held a situation assessment in the 'pit' this morning (Friday) together with Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, Director General of the Ministry of Defense, Maj. Gen. (res.) Amir Baram, Head of Military Intelligence Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, Head of Military Intelligence Maj. Gen. Itzik Cohen, Head of the Joint Operations Command Maj. Gen. Hedi Zilberman, Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, Navy Commander Maj. Gen. David Salama, and other senior officials in the defense establishment.

Katz: "Tonight the IDF attacked and destroyed a central bridge over the Litani River that served as a crossing for Hezbollah terrorists and for the transfer of weapons to southern Lebanon.

""This is just the beginning and the Lebanese government and the state of Lebanon will pay an increasing price for damage to Lebanese national infrastructure used by Hezbollah terrorists for carrying out terrorist activity and firing at the State of Israel.".

""The Lebanese government, which misled and failed to fulfill its commitment to disarm Hezbollah, will pay increasing prices in damage to infrastructure and loss of territory - until the central commitment of disarming Hezbollah is fulfilled.".
