The Mako website reported that the girls who were there heard the warning about missile fire - and panicked. According to a source familiar with the details, they began to run and cross the road to reach a protected area, when one vehicle managed to brake - but another vehicle coming from behind hit one of the girls with force and ran her over to death.

MDA paramedic Shilo Alfasi said: "The girl was lying on the road, unconscious and suffering from multi-system damage. We were told that she had been hit by a vehicle. We performed medical examinations, but she had no signs of life and we had no choice but to declare her dead.".

According to the information provided to volunteers at the scene, at the time of receiving the alerts, the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle. The medical teams were forced to declare her dead due to the severe injuries she suffered.
