The commander of the Home Front Command, Major General Shai Klapper, made a statement today (Wednesday) in the north of the country in the midst of the 12th day of Operation "The Roar of the Harrier" against Iran.
His comments were made against the backdrop of rumors circulating online about an especially large barrage or widespread shooting from several areas at the same time. This was alongside an unusual directive from the head of the Meta Asher Regional Council, who, due to "alerts from security officials," asked his residents to remain near a protected area.
Major General Shai Clapper stated: "We are in the midst of the 12th day of Operation 'Harry's Roar,' an operation whose purpose is to inflict deep and severe damage on the Iranian regime and its military capabilities.".

An operation whose purpose is to secure our future and existence in the State of Israel while minimizing damage to the Israeli homeland. First, I would like to begin by expressing deep appreciation to the residents of the State of Israel for the steadfastness and resilience you are demonstrating. It must be said that we had a challenging night with several alarms.
Citizens of Israel in general, and residents of the north in particular, have gone through more than two and a half years, two complex and challenging years. The Home Front Command is deployed nationwide and works in cooperation with all emergency organizations, with the Israel Police, with the Israeli Civil Defense and the Israeli Emergency Medical Service, and with the local authorities. As a result, I went up north today to sit with the local authorities and meet with the leadership and the public.
I met responsible, professional and courageous leadership that demonstrates extraordinary resilience. I am aware of the challenges that the security reality poses to us. I would like to open by saying something about the defense policy and the alarms.
If there is a threat from a third circle like Iran, there is more time to give advance warning and then the alarm comes. If it is Lebanon, there is a shorter time. I want to tell you that the IDF has the most advanced and leading defense systems in the world.
At the same time, defense and defense systems are not hermetic. Therefore, following the instructions of the Home Front Command and Defense is extremely important. The IDF is working 24/7 to deepen the damage to the Iranian regime and its military capabilities, both ballistic and nuclear.
The IDF is operating significantly on the northern front. I know, residents of the north, that with the renewal of fighting on the northern front, there has been a feeling of discomfort and uncertainty. At the same time, I want to say that the IDF is across the border, protecting the residents of the north and operating significantly to deeply harm Hezbollah.
From here, I want to say that we at the Home Front Command consider defense policy every day, alongside the central consideration of maintaining the security of Israeli citizens, alongside maintaining continuity and national functioning of the Israeli economy and education systems.
