Launching: Ministry of Transportation and Netivei Israel in tender for planning the airport in Ziklag

The Ministry of Transportation and Netivei Israel announced today (Tuesday) the advancement of the national move to establish the supplementary airport in Ziklag with the establishment of a center for airport planning.

The project, which will be launched after receiving government approval, will be managed by the company's PPP division, in parallel with leading the planning of the complementary airport in Ramat David.

The project includes providing comprehensive planning services for the construction of the airport, as part of the national strategy for expanding Israel's aviation infrastructure.

The tender will be managed in a two-stage method, setting an extremely high professional standard with a weight of 80% for the quality component and only 20% for the financial component. With the selection of the planning team, the detailed planning process for the field will begin at locations defined by the National Council in the Negev region.

​As part of the professional threshold conditions, planning offices are required to present a team that includes at least five registered architects with a decade or more of experience, along with proven experience in drafting national outline plans or national infrastructure plans.

The Ministry of Transportation will continue to promote the project in a professional, thorough and rapid manner, until its completion.".
