Jonathan Israel embarks on a musical journey with his debut single - "Father, Thank You" - a song of gratitude, faith, and introspection.
The song touches on a deep human point: the tendency to complain about small difficulties, in the face of the understanding that there are those who are dealing with a much more complex and difficult reality. Through the lyrics, Jonathan asks us to stop, look at life from a different angle, and discover the good even when everything is not perfect.
Jonathan: “Many thought the song was written out of heartbreak, but that's really not the case. It was written out of joy, out of observing the troubles of others and understanding that what seems like a difficulty to me is nothing compared to them. A little fall here and there is part of the journey.”
The release of the single also stems from a personal loss – Jonathan recently lost his father, and “Father, Thank You” also becomes part of the message and values that his father wanted to leave in the world: a believing gaze, gratitude, and the ability to choose the light.
